Japanese Sex Dolls

June 6, 2007

I was really shocked to find out that the Japanese sex doll industry - independent from other forms of pornography - generates hundreds of millions in revenues per year. For many entrepreneurs, this unique obsession with fake pussy has led to a series of highly successful spin-off industries.

Take La-La’s for example, a brothel that rents the dolls out to those in need of some latex love for as much as a real hooker would cost - 12,000 Yen for 90 minutes. For Japanese men that are not interested in acquiring a nasty STD from a fake chick that gets “passed around,” a doll can be purchased for a mind boggling 600,000 Yen.

With magazines catering to the culture, a clothing accessory market, and no sign of sales slowing down, it looks like the industry is here to stay. Sadly, the love for these artificial beauties is causing many men to forego real relationships with real woman. Some men have even become completely obsessed, collecting the dolls in abundance.

In our opinion, this is completely insane. Here at the AP we find the anthropomorphizing of fake women along with all the time and energy associated with nonexistent relationships to be a little scary. These puppet masters should know that you can’t beat the real thing!

This is totally strange and really scary. A sex industry based off artificial women is really sick. I think this is a mental disease.

The doll won’t take half of everything you own now and most of your salary for years to come. The doll won’t complain the next day about how you talked dirty the night before (neglecting how much she orgasmed while you did so).

Hmmmn.

Constantly on TV, on the news, in TV pharmaceutical ads, in the paper, in magazines we are constantly bombarded with with the message that sex is a deviant act and will kill us all. It has even grown a less tastefull or acceptable stigme in movie ratings than violence, murder and dismemberment. As a result, we as a nation are becoming increasingly a-sexual and it has become ridiculously complicated to try to get laid. The dolls are not the cause of the problem of men shying away from real relationships, but a symptom. And it’s not just men shying away froim real relationships. How long has it been commonplace for women to possess a fake and often motorized disembodied phallus? What do ya’ think Freud would have to say about that? At least men are well adjusted enough to buy a whole fake woman. So I ask you…who is shying further away from real relationships?

I am not surprized at all. With prices for woman in real life over the head and prostitution illegal and the pressure for men to perform 6 grands is reasonable price for piece of art.
Our government is sick not taxpayers. The same problem in USA is much bigger and government does everything possible to eliminate sex.

Well, it looks cool. Also, it is cleaner than hookers on the street. You don’t get aids from a doll.

hi,
Eric and divorced guy have it spot on!
a woman carrying a ‘dildo’ etc is ok and cheeky, yet a guy with any form of ‘imitation’ or sex toy regardless of its physical size or scale is not allowed or frowned upon?! give me a break, i love the idea, i personally wouldnt go and buy one. but freedom in the fetish industry isnt hurting anyone.

by the way, i agree with divorced guy on another level:
a doll as such, wont cheat on you, wont constantly call you a dog or a cheat looking for anything that has tits especially when you have been faithful to her for over 6 years…

hmmm.

regardless of what they are, the dolls detail is awesome lol

I think this has a lot to do with control and convenience.

As people are living faster lives full of more and more work and obligations, they are losing control of their only life and also precious lifespan in which to enjoy being simply alive, and therefore becoming less able to pursue the work and tolerate the uncertainties of a regular relationship or social interaction.

With a doll like this, control and convenience is returned. And the melancholic fallout from evolutionary and social competition is mitigated for the losers, who are therefore able to sidestep the misery evolution usually visits on the unfortunate by using the adaptive power of their intellect to discover alternative forms of expression.

This is adaptability and flexibility of the human mind towards its reward hit is what has led to our survival and dominance of the planet over much more better equipped competition, and is therefore not only normal but in fact honours the ingenous tradition of the human race.

That there is a demand for such dolls is a comment about the lack of development of individual potential in our society, rather than a comment on the mental state of the people.

About 8 years ago I made a decision that if I were to have sex with a condom again, that I would not be having sex anymore. Eight years later I hav’nt had sex since then. I have had opportunities to do it without but condoms but was not interested enough. I have realize that it is possible for me to live without it and still feel O K.
There is little diference between having sex with a condom a dildo or a sexdoll. In each case the individual’s sex organ comes in contact with rubber. Using condoms is as much artificial sex as the dildo or sexdoll. Anyone who can pay to have sex with a condom could also spend the time with a doll unless he also want the company.
The main differences between the three is that you can also get some human interaction with the other human when you use the condom. but as far as the act itself go, one is as good or bad as the other.
