Japanese Potato Chips

June 24, 2007

Check out these flavors of Japanese chips. Honestly, I find the snack’s bright and colorful packaging much more interesting than the innovative taste combinations - it’s so creative compared to what we Westerner’s get! If you are in Japan and have the munchies, here is a list of must tries:

Top Left: Tonkoku Ninniku Ramen: a unique medley of sliced pork and garlic raman flavor.

Middle: Gara Masala - Tiny chips coated in extremely spicy garam masala flavoring.

Top Right: American Burger - Like the name implies these are hamburger flavored chips. Why BBQ when that juicy beef and mayo combination you are looking for comes in a bag freshly coated in nitrates?

Top Left: Mayo Mania - A mouthwatering blend of mayonnaise mentaiko (spicy fish eggs).

Middle: Agejaga & Mayo - Mmmmmm…..fried potatoes and mayonnaise (think about the satisfaction you get from dipping your McDonald’s fries in mayo - it’s all that and more.

Top Right: Corn Portage - Corn chowder soup thats deep fried into puffs.

More flavors can be viewed here and here.
