Stratocruiser: Futuristic Air Travel

October 14, 2007

In the minds of many blimps are a thing of the past, however, for Tino Schaedler and Michael J. Brown, they are the future of luxury air-travel. Cue the Stratocrusier, an eye catching, futuristic and multi-faceted “lifestyle zeppelin” currently in concept form. (Zeppelins are rigid airships that were first developed in the early 20th century by Ferdinand von Zeppelin. They were used by the Germans in WW1 as military bombers and troop transport vehicles, and then later for commercial air-travel.)

The smooth-cruising helium powered vehicle offers luxuries one would expect on a cruise ship but view as impossible with air-travel. With a gourmet restaurant, swimming pool, spa, resident DJ, personal trainer, yoga studio, library, climbing wall and private chambers all on board, travelers will undoubtedly arrive at their destination feeling refreshed.

The Stratocruiser is scheduled to offer “medium-haul” transatlantic, transpacific, trans-American and Europe-Middle East routes.
