Today was mad hectic at the agency. All three floors of the shop were buzzing with creative energy/activity. All day people came and went from the Radar space, and the hour hand on the clock swirled at a rapid rate.
Let’s travel back in time:
3:00 PM: I need a break. My eyes are burning from starring at a 25″monitor, my throat’s parched and my back needs a stretch. A temporary disconnect from all things digital is mandatory. I get up and saunter over to the kitchen, pour myself a cup of Joe, mix in two creams, stir and sip. Not yet ready to return to the vortex of the interwebs, I grab the latest copy of Theme magazine, sprawl myself over a couple of bosu balls, and begin flipping through the pages. An article on page 28 of the Apr/May/08 edition captures my attention. I read on.
The Highlight?
A briefing on Néojaponisme - a Tokyo based webjournal aimed at the Internet intellectual with engaging reviews and in-depth interviews. Published in minimalist blog format, posts are stimulating editorials paired with well-designed red, white and black illustrations influenced by the 1920’s European art journals of De Stijl, Dada and Merz.
The Format:
Book reviews, Interviews, Neomarxisme, Podcasts, Site News, The Future, The Past, The Present.
Although plans are in the works for the publication to expand into print, the project will remain largely web-based.

Sick find. The combination of Japanese culture and newomarxism is interesting. The visuals you selected are fresh. Adding this to my blogroll for sure.
